The Anthurium King of Spades is a cultivar of the popular Anthurium plant
This wonderful hybrid, Anthurium ‘King of Spades’ is also called Anthurium ‘HU’ for Haji Ulih, Anthurium “HU” refers to Haji Ulih (Haji signifies a Muslim who has fulfilled the 5th pillar of Islam, traveling to Mecca; Ulih is his first name), the man who created this beautiful hybrid known as Anthurium ‘King of Spades.” Beautiful cordate, extremely full, velvety leaf blades are embellished with fine, yet sharply contrasted venation. The word “Anthurium” is a combination of the Greek words “ánthos” (which means “flower”) and “ourá” (which means “tail”). This might literally be translated as “flowering tail.”
The well-liked Anthurium plant, which is distinguished by its vivid red blossoms and glossy green leaves, has a cultivar called the Anthurium ‘King of Spades. The King of spades cultivar stands out because its deep, rich crimson blossoms have the shape of a spade. The plant has a lush, tropical appearance thanks to its huge, glossy leaves. This cultivar grows beautifully indoors or in a greenhouse and adds a splash of color to any space.
